Case Study - Our Biggest EVER Cat Scratching Post

Sometimes we get asked to build big scratching posts, and on this occasion we were asked to build an enormous cat scratching post!

Built for a Savannah F2, this scratching post needed to be big, heavy and rock solid. We made a fully bespoke lattice style MDF frame inside the post to give it maximum strength and rigidity. To say this was a lot of work is an understatement, but just look at the result!

For the base, we inset 2 large heavy weight blocks inside the multi-layer glue laminated MDF. This was then wrapped in sisal rope as normal.
