Behind the Scenes at ScratchyCats™

Way back in 2011, we had an idea for a new business venture. The dream was to create a business focused around manufacturing cat scratching posts that were actually fit for purpose, and to do everything right here in the UK. The initial idea came from a disappointing shopping experience while searching for a high quality cat scratching post. Something I'm sure most of us cat lovers have experienced!

Many, many years later and despite extremely difficult trading conditions due to the Covid Pandemic, The Cost of Living Crisis, Countless Wars and Global Difficulties - we're still here and ScratchyCats™ has stood the test of time. Why? Because our products are the best available and we enjoy what we do! 

It's been a wild ride, and we've learned a lot over the years. We've grown and expanded; we've moved premises 5 times and somehow found the time to bring a little person along for the ride too. Our daughter is often involved in ScratchyCats™ and it's always been a part of her life - as she doesn't know a time without ScratchyCats™!  

There's been lots of highs, there have been lows and there have been monumental challenges along the way. But hey, we're still here, we're still standing and we're not going anywhere!

We thought it would be a fun idea to share some random photos of our journey so far. The photos are in no particular order, but we feel this gives you quite a good insight into life at ScratchyCats™. No overseas manufacturing, no middlemen, no corporate nonsense - just a husband and wife team 'living the dream' of running their own business!
